MANGALADHYAN:
When we start studying something to learn the teaching in it, we have to have respect for it. When our idea conflicts with the teaching we should try to find our mistake and correct it. If we try to find the mistakes in it, comparing it with our knowledge, the thing will happen that the teaching and the knowledge will remain beyond our reach. When we started studying Mathematics, we made several mistakes but never thought that the Mathematics book was incorrect. Had we ever thought in that way would we have not been out of school?
So to grow respect for the lessons we are going to get, especially where the view is just reverse to our general experience, we have to have our deepest respect for it. So, before starting main course we have to meditate on the specialty of the teaching.
At the start of reading The Geeta, we have to pay our respect to the teaching we would going to get. To purify our thinking we have to chant some montras.
It has been understood that The Geeta is garland of ‘mantras’ and the seer is BHAGAWAN VEDVYAS, rhythm is ANUSHTUP, SHREE KRISHNA PARAMATMA to be seen within it.
Actually BHAGAWAN VEDVYAS the writer of THE MAHABHARATA has written The Geeta in it as a part of it.
It was he who felt the truth and has written it. That is why he was the seer and he is the person who is showing us the path of truth. That is why we pay our respect to him at the start of studying The Geeta.
Easy and popular rhythm was ANUSHTUP, that is why it was chosen to chant the mantras of The Geeta.
While studying The Geeta, we will see that understanding SHREE KRISHNA is our objective. He is the truth personified.
In the next mantra we have to remind ourselves that it is the irony that we call ourselves wise while thinking about those things which are not worth thinking. This is the key point and worshiped.
The main power and strength of life of us would be coming from unconditional surrender to The God leaving everything else. This feeling is to be achieved and it is the power of The Geeta.
It is the greatest doubt whether The God really free us from all evils. This doubt locks and hides our mind from experiencing truth. We have to denial the cover to meet the truth.
We love Him so we are reading The Geeta only for SHREE KRISHNA BHAGAWAN’s pleasure.
